• MLS, white & pink noise

Analog Performance

Combining dual-domain functionality with very low distortion and noise performance, the 2700 Series is the classic standard for audio analysis, perfect for audio engineers who need high performance, low distortion and high reliability.

Flexible Control

AP2700.exe is the control software for 2700 Series instruments. Running on the controlling PC, AP2700 is a powerful and sophisticated real-time interface, with hardware and software system modules and functions controlled using settings on virtual panels, and measurement results displayed in virtual meter and graph readings.

Measurement Speed

The 2700 Series offers an array of powerful, time-saving analysis tools to speed your testing procedures including, but not limited to: multitoned testing, harmonic distortion analysis, filter creation and more.

Digital Analysis

The 2700 Series offers both AES3 and IEC60958 serial digital interfaces, with fully configurable serial data and clock ports available via the auxiliary PSIA-2722 Programmable Serial Interface Adapter.

The 2700 Series has five filter slots to accommodate analog filters in nearly any configuration. Standard configurations already include the S-AES17 or OPT-2020 filter. See below for other filters, or contact your local AP sales partner if you have more custom needs. For more information about filters, visit the Option Filter page.

2700 Series standard configurations also include tone burst, square wave and noise generation (formerly option S2-BUR).

Analog options
• S-AES17: Special lowpass filter satisfies AES17 for measurements in the presence   of out-of-band noise.  Includes 20 kHz and 40 kHz brick wall filters (FLP-B20K and FLP-B40K). This filter requires two filter slots.
• OPT-2020: Pre-analyzer lowpass filter
• S2-IMD:     Adds IMD generator and analyzer to SYS-2702, SYS-2712, or SYS-2722
• S2-W&F:     Adds wow and flutter analyzer to SYS-2702, SYS-2712, or SYS-2722
• S2-BUR:     Adds tone burst, square wave and noise generator to SYS-2702, SYS-2712, or SYS-2722 (now included standard with all 2700 Series)
• S2-EURZ: Changes analog generator source impedance to be 40, 200, or 600 ohms in SYS-2702, SYS-2712, or SYS-2722
• OPT-2711: Adds the Dolby Digital Generator option to a new SYS-2722, allowing the encoding of stimulus tones in Dolby Digital (AC-3) before digital output. Includes IEC61937 and licensed Dolby Digital encoding software, and proprietary Audio Precision streaming interface (APSI) hardware installed in the instrument. (Not compatible with GPIB systems, not compatible with 64-bit versions of Windows. See AP Software Windows Version Compatibility for details.)

Optional Analog Filters
Up to 5 optional hardware filters may be installed in the analog analyzer in SYS-2702, SYS-2712, or SYS-2722. Other designs may be feasible for special applications.  Contact Audio Precision for quotations.
