Beaverton, OR, August 12, 2025 – Audio Precision is excited to announce a significant upgrade to its APx audio analyzer series. Originally introduced in 2019 as their most affordable way to perform audio measurements, APx500 Flex now includes support for up to 16 ASIO channels.
APx500 Flex previously allowed two-channel ASIO connectivity with the option to upgrade to as many as eight. The price remains unchanged, but the number of channels included increases from 2 to 16. This drives down the price per channel for budget-conscious applications.
This release also adds 16-channel ASIO support as standard to the APx517 acoustic analyzer. Previously the APx517 came standard with two channels of ASIO connectivity, increasing efficiency in ASIO headset testing. The APx517’s power amplifier can alternatively power speakers in two test chambers when testing ASIO devices with microphones. The APx517 CCP or Phantom Power for measurement microphones like the GRAS 40PM allows tighter tolerance when testing ASIO devices with microphones and speakers.
