The LabVIEW DAQ Driver for APx515 communicates directly with APx515 hardware and does not utilize the APx500 measurement software or API. Its functionality is similar to NI DAQmx, making it possible to upgrade an existing test system that uses DAQmx to utilize the APx515 with reduced effort.             APx C++ Examples 4.5 (1.1 MB)

            The APx500 software API is designed for use with the .NET Framework. The API is written entirely with managed code, and is not designed for use with COM or legacy VB/C++ applications. However, .NET interfaces can be called from non .NET applications with the proper steps.

            There are two main approaches to calling .NET interfaces from Visual C++ applications. The first approach adds Common Language Runtime (CLR) support to your existing C++ applications using the new C++/CLI language features of Visual Studio. This feature is available in Visual Studio 2008 or higher. The second approach involves creating a wrapper DLL which has a COM interface. The wrapper DLL will be a C++/CLI DLL, and will expose an interface that can be called from unmanaged C++.

            The APx EQ .wav Files Utility lets you apply equalization to generator source .wav files. When given an original .wav file and an EQ curve file, it creates a new EQed .wav file. Includes both graphic interface and command line versions. The utility is useful to EQ PESQ generator files for a given stimulus speaker.

            APx Attack-and-Release Plugin 1.0 (1.73 MB)

            Automatic Gain Control (AGC) is a signal processing technique typically used to limit the audio dynamic range in applications ranging from hearing aids to broadcasting. AP’s latest plugin enables the characterization of attack-and-release (recovery) times for AGC-enabled devices and allows the user to perform the tests according to several different standards, from IEC 60268-8 for general purpose AGC devices to IEC 60118-2 and ANSI S3.22 for hearing aids. Test settings can also be customized when using the IEC 60268-8-based measurement.

            The plugin is compatible with any model APx500 Series analyzer and requires APx audio measurement software, version 4.3 or later.




            APx Audio-Video Sync Plugin 1.0 (1.9 MB)

            The A/V sync plugin integrates audio delay measurement into APx software to support designers evaluating audio/video timing (lip sync) in professional and consumer systems. The plugin is also designed to support the A/V synchronization tests that are part of both Dolby® and DTS® licensee compliance requirements.

            The plugin is compatible with any model APx500 Series analyzer and requires APx audio measurement software, version 4.3 or later.

            For designers of public address, flight recorder and police/fire/emergency communications systems, the APx Speech Transmission Index (STI) plugin is a software add-on for the APx500 that provides a STIPA measurement and Speech Level measurement conforming to international standard IEC 60268-16 (2011).

            NOTES:

            • The STI plugin is a software option and requires the purchase of an iButton (APX-SW-STI) for measurement functionality. Download and installation of the plugin, without an iButton, enables the measurement in demo mode only.
            • APx STI Plugin v1.1 requires v4.2.1, v4.3 or v4.4.2 of APx500 audio test software. (For versions 4.5 or later of APx500 audio software, please use APx STI v2.0.)



            APx500 USB Driver Update for APx500 3.4.3 (532.57 KB)

            USB driver update for users of APx500 v2.3 - 3.4 running on Windows Vista, 7, and 8. Apply this update if you encounter the following symptoms:
            1) During installation of APx500 you receive one or both of the following warnings:

            - User Account Control (UAC) warning: "Do you want to allow the following program from an unknown publisher to make changes to this computer?"

            - Windows Security warning: "Windows can't verify the publisher of this driver software."

            2) APx500 fails to recognize an attached APx analyzer (runs only in demo mode).

            Download this update and run it after installation of APx500 and then power-cycle the attached APx analyzer.
